Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal The candidate should have 5+ years of IP litigation experience through all phases of litigation, including Trial. Strong organizational skills are essential. Candidates must have the following experience: working knowledge of the rules of civil procedure, with a primary emphasis on federal civil procedure; working knowledge of USPTO patent and trademark rules and procedure; familiarity with the local rules of various courts, including patent litigation local rules. Ability to manage multiple litigation dockets and calculate deadlines; ability to draft routine correspondence and Legal documents; mastery of federal court CM/ECF and PACER systems and related electronic filing of court documents; ability to assist with document collections and manage document productions utilizing various litigation support databases and software; ability to conduct Legal research via electronic databases, including Westlaw and Lexis; and ability to conduct factual research and other diligence via Internet, electronic databases, USPTO and U.S. Copyright Office website databases, and traditional investigative methods is needed. Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Westlaw, Lexis, Dialog, USPTO and other government databases, and foreign databases required. Working knowledge of Concordance, Summation and other litigation Management software a plus. Patent and trademark prosecution experience desired.
