Compliance Paralegal
Duties: Will perform a wide variety of legal services for the company including pharmaceutical compliance and privacy matters under the general supervision of attorney. Handling legal matters on highly complex issues concerning the obligations of the corporation as it relates to contracting, privacy and safe harbor, and healthcare compliance at the direction of an attorney. Work with the attorney in developing training materials on compliance initiatives. Providing project management support including some administrative tasks. Presentation skills for compliance training is preferred. Answer questions from business personnel on company's operating policies and practices to ensure on going compliance and consistency. Develop a strong working knowledge of the business and operational goals and objectives of the assigned area. Function as a key management advisor in achieving management's business goals. Assist with compliance monitoring activities including audits for company to ensure continued compliance with Code of conduct trainings and Safe Harbor requirements. Assist in maintaining and updating the compliance website. |

| Qualification and Experience |
 |
Requirements: Paralegal certificate and 2+ year's experience in a corporate law department OR Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in a corporate law department. Must also have experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry. Capacity to review and generate "form" contracts, such as confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, research agreements and clinical agreements. Excellent computer skills, judgment in dealing with management, excellent organizational skills, use of utmost discretion in handling confidential information and ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency at preparing documents for Board of Directors meetings. Must possess strong administrative skills and ability to create, maintain and effectively use computer databases including Excel and power point presentations as well as conduct legal and subject matter research on legal databases. Excellent computer skills, judgment in dealing with management, excellent organizational skills. Preferred requirements: Healthcare compliance experience.
