Legal Secretary The candidate will provide secretarial support to attorneys and Paralegals in a timely and efficient manner. Will type and/or transcribe correspondence. Enter attorney/paralegal time. Type various documents, forms and printouts. Submit telephone bills. Responsible for Proofreading, billing and photocopying. Prepare disbursement forms. Submit expense reports. Prepare envelopes for mail, Federal Express or messenger Delivery; filing. Answer telephones, take messages and make appointments. Establish and maintain a variety of files and records. Maintain a calendar of court, Travel, meetings and/or other commitments. Make Travel arrangements. Arrange for meeting/conference rooms. Complete Travel expense report. Complete disbursement requests. Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys, Paralegals within Insurance litigation department/practice group. Complete E-Filing in various Delaware courts.<br /> <br /> Previous secretarial experience is required. Previous Legal experience is preferred. Previous law firm experience a must. Previous Commercial litigation law firm experience is needed. Should have full understanding of Delaware court filing requirements. Should have typing speed of 65-80 wpm. Good organization and communication skills are required. Must have excellent computer and Proofreading skills. Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is needed. Knowledge of File Site is preferable. Should have ability to use a Dictaphone/transcriber. Must be willing to work overtime.
