Denver office seeks Patent Prosecution Secretary (Electronics and Software) preferably with 5+ years of patent prosecution secretarial experience within a professional environment, law firm and/or other professional services. The candidate will join the Electronics and Software department to support the attorneys in all phases of patent prosecution. Responsibilities include: Prepare, file and prosecute formal documents in a timely manner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Handle administrative aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. Monitor and maintain attorney(s) case dockets. Maintain case files. Compose correspondence, reports, memoranda and legal documents from dictation, drafts, handwritten or oral instructions as directed by assigned attorney(s). Experience with Electronics and Software applications preferred. Must have experience with the preparation of formal documents for USPTO intellectual property procedures and requirements and maintaining U.S. Patent Prosecution case files. Knowledge of international procedures and requirements preferred. Must have electronic filing experience. Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, editing and proofreading ability will be required. Good communication skills, both verbal and written required. Should have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
