Attorney
The candidate will perform general and specific corporate legal services able to take the lead role on moderate to complex assignments. Will lead and coordinate the efforts of outside counsel on international business registration and qualification issues; prepare and review various standard form design, design-build and construction contracts and general conditions in conjunction with related impacts and implications; research and help to develop international practice guidelines for countries where design services are performed; assists and participate in negotiations involving major contracts; advise and assist project management on contract administration and claims avoidance; prepare and present risk management seminars to company staff; and provide general legal counsel as needed. May perform other responsibilities including, insurance/risk management, claims/ litigation and HR issues.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. degree and successfully passed State Bar exam. Must have 5+ years of progressive experience in design, construction and/or international. Experience with complex agreements is required. Should have experience with drafting and negotiating architectural, engineering, consulting and design-build agreements. Prior litigation/arbitration experience is needed.
