New York City office seeks part-time temporary legal secretary III with 4+ years of related work experience in a law firm environment. The candidate provides general support to attorneys and paralegals. Will be responsible for typing legal correspondence and reports, coordinating meetings and appointments, handling a high volume of phone calls, preparing and/or arranging for court and/or administrative filings as requested, preparing and ensuring client intake information is provided to and approved by the Conflicts Department, maintaining attorney files, arranging for additional support and assisting with secretarial overflow as required, time entries, billing, expense reports and other duties as assigned. Must be available to perform overtime when required and posses excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment, ability to set priorities in collaboration with the team, including contributing ideas, and keep the team informed of work status. Should have advanced knowledge of legal terminology and general legal and office procedures in a law firm environment, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the ability to lift up to 20lbs of files, boxes and/or documents.
