Intellectual Property Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Handling document creation, including typing, Editing and Proofreading, photocopying, faxing and Distribution. Calendaring and monitoring filing deadlines for all US and foreign patent applications. Preparing, coordinating, and filing patent applications with the USPTO, outside counsel, and associates/agents. Maintaining a close working relationship with patent agents and technical specialists to prepare and file formal documents for US and International filings. Ensuring Legal documents are processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner in order to comply with appropriate USPTO regulations and deadlines. Maintaining mail, calendars, schedule Travel, answer telephones and direct calls, and act as liaison between attorney and clients. Responsible for attorney client billing, expense reports, according to established accounting guidelines. <br /> <br /> Requirements: The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in the areas of patent prosecution and/or IP litigation. Candidates must possess strong Administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to recognize and act on important details and deadlines. Experience with domestic and foreign documents. Ability to support multiple attorneys and Paralegals. Must have ability to work under pressure, respond quickly to changing demands and be self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Demonstrated self-starter with excellent organizational and document Management skills. Must be proficient in MS Word and MS Outlook, have experience with Hummingbird DM or familiarity other document Management systems, and a typing speed of 60+ wpm.
