Job Profile
Intermediate Paralegal The candidate will coordinate the Maintenance of voluminous document files, which may include research; case related and transactional documents; and materials produced in the discovery process. Will perform moderately complex factual research and investigation. Develop systems to track information and assist with document acquisition, organization, review and analysis. Compile information from various sources, analyze and clearly report detailed findings using charts, statistics and other tools. Manage calendar, docket and tickler systems and assist in meeting filing/action deadlines. Proofread Legal documents; may review documents for content. Summarize lengthy Legal or technical documents. Communicate with clients professionally over the telephone and in person; responds to client inquiries in attorney's absence. May coordinate transactional closings. Draft detailed correspondence and memoranda for attorneys as requested; draft moderately complex Legal documents for attorney review. Coordinate mailings, copying projects and courthouse filings, where appropriate. Utilize computer databases to organize, store and access information; conduct moderately complex research on LEXIS, Westlaw and other online computer assisted research databases. A Four year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required. Paralegal certification a plus. Should have 4-7 years of Corporate Law experience, ideally in Healthcare.
