Paralegal
The candidate will investigate, handle and resolve legal matters affecting the operation of the Company. Frequent independent judgments are essential. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Receive, investigate, handle and resolve customer complaints and administrative/governmental actions and proceedings. Prepare reports to track store violations and their resolutions. Respond to and resolve subpoenas. Provide litigation and administrative support to internal and external counsel. Interact with store personnel, field management, and/or outside counsel to resolve, by defense or settlement, various violations which occur in the stores.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited paralegal program, plus 1+ year of paralegal training in a private, public, and/or corporate law practice; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Should have ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects is needed. Must have familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) is needed.
