Assistant/Associate Professor - Business Law The candidate will be expected to teach courses in American business law, environmental law and policy, entrepreneurship, human resource management or management as assigned. Other specific duties are expected to include University committee work, student advising (specifically including pre-law advising and counseling services for students considering law school or other law-related fields) and developing internship opportunities in government and private sector settings for upperclass students. Will also be expected to conduct appropriate research and to publish in peer-reviewed and other professional journals and publications.
Qualification and Experience
An earned Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school is required. In addition, a baccalaureate or masters level degree in business or in a scientific/technical discipline is preferred. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential. Should have substantial teaching experience at the university level, significant business/entrepreneurial experience, a substantial background in government or public sector environmental regulation, and (4) extensive general or corporate law practice and/or quasi-judicial experience. Other extra-academic activities in the nature of public service are encouraged.
