None.
Everyone seemed very attentive and on top of day to day responsibilities, firm-wide.
Nothing.
Very friendly and helpful.
Less than a year
There is a need for a much better trained leader and management team. The office environment could use some encouragement. The hard working employees should be recognized for their work.
An environment in which several benefits are offered. The salary is decent. Some of the workers are devoted to the work they perform.
The management of the firm is not doing a great job of leading the office and employees. Many employees have stepped away from the office because of the leadership of the office.
Allow more room for advancement within the firm. Provide more benefits.
This is a leading international firm. Leadership is high. Teamwork is important. The pay is good.
There is not much room for advancement at the firm. The benefits aren't as good as they could be.
Continue to look for growth opportunities in different markets. Additionally, despite the firm's national footprint, concentrate on branding the firm as something greater than a regional powerhouse.
The qualities of the firm that stand out are the (1) collegiality, (2) prevalence of entrepreneurial spirit, (3) vision and (4) consistency in quality among various practices. The firm is a well-run business that stands behind its core values. For example, the annual partner planning process focuses on, among other things, how you have helped other practices within the firm and who has helped your practice.
After practicing law at two other firms, there is no compelling reason I can think of not to work at Alston.
Every firm has its own unique personality and culture. While A&B has the same skill sets as does its New York, DC and LA peers, because it has grown out of a Southern culture, it maintains a civility, pace and grace in its style of practice that many of the other larger law firms do not have.
The firm is truly interested in the well being of all of its employees. A&B creates a positive team-oriented environment so that all can contribute and excel. The legal matters that A&B attorneys work on are exciting, challenging and performed nationally and internationally at the highest levels.
It is a very large firm with offices across the country and the globe. As a consequence, it has all the benefits and downsides of working in a very large firm. This type of environment is not for everyone, but those who enjoy large firm opportunities and collaboration will enjoy working at A&B.
Keep doing what you are doing-- you don't get to be one of the best companies in America to work for by changing management regularly.
The firm is very collegial, transparent and collaborative; and it is extremely well run and is an enjoyable partnership. I am very happy with my decision to join the firm earlier this year.
There are no compelling negatives about the firm; it has solid management and it a great place to practice law.
Thank you.
