Diversity is natural to Lowenstein Sandler. We have achieved a diverse workforce by a simple strategy: hiring the best people-people who distinguish themselves from the pack-to fulfill our mission: providing the highest quality legal advice and client service. Our achievement has been organic, not the result of a trend; our longstanding commitment dates back to the firm's founding and the legacy of Alan Lowenstein, who was a social justice pioneer and community leader. More than two decades ago, we became the first large law firm headquartered in New Jersey to promote to partner an African-American man and Hispanic-American woman. For the past ten years, we have ranked first among large, New Jersey-based firms with the greatest number of minority partners. Through today, Lowenstein Sandler continues to demonstrate its commitment to maintaining and fostering diversity as a natural element of our working environment.

Summer associate program

Each summer, first- and second-year law students from schools throughout the country experience the practice of law at Lowenstein Sandler through our summer program. When you join Lowenstein Sandler as a law student, you will use some of the essential skills you are honing in law school - analytical thinking, critical writing and legal research. The summer program offers educational seminars, mentoring, enjoyable social events and, most significantly, participation in complex matters in the legal areas in which you have expressed interest. Our summer program is the perfect balance between structure and flexibility, in-depth legal work and good fun.
