Pro bono

Freshfields has initiated two themed programmes on the rule of law and the Millennium Development Goals (adopted by the UN for tackling international issues of poverty, child mortality, disease and environment). The firm promotes human rights and strives to deliver justice to those who otherwise would not have it. The firm's pro bono clients include individual asylum seekers and non-governmental organizations. The firm advises the "Save the Children International" in matters related to global restructuring. Freshfields was jointly awarded Pro Bono Team of the Year for its work on asylum support appeals. Freshfields helps out asylum seekers in tribunal hearings and for defending their rights.
