Start appreciating your dedicated staff. Everyone walks around complaining.

The work environment is pleasant.

After 30 years of service my employment was terminated as the firm decided to outsource my position. I am an openly gay senior citizen with a tremendously dedicated work record. 100% of the staff & attorneys that approached me thought that the management that made this decision was disgusting. My age & lifestyle obviously was an issue with the new management and so outsourcing was the solution to get rid of me!

Mike Aldana & Dave Fleisher head up the Milwaukee Office and (in my opinion) do not care about the employees. They only look at how much $$$ they are making.

Able to leap tall buildings in a... no wait, that is for our superhero opening. For lawyers, you must be smart (but not talk about it all the time), hardworking, energetic, motivated (that is not a code word for "cut-throat"), have lots of interests, enthusiastic, and have no significant enemies. Celebrity status a plus unless you are the loser in the Who-Wore-It-Best feature of a tabloid magazine.

Pro bono

The firm has not reported whether it counts pro bono hours towards the minimum billable hours requirement. Pro bono hours are counted the same as billable hours for the purposes of year-end bonuses.

Diversity Write a review

At Quarles & Brady, every person counts, every day. We are leaders in mentoring and developing outstanding diverse attorneys, with percentages of women and diverse partners and associates exceeding national averages. Women and diverse attorneys head four of our nine offices, including our largest. Quarles & Brady is routinely ranked among the best law firms for women and diverse attorneys, family-friendly policies, informal training, and other categories that help promote a diverse workplace. We are proud of our efforts and the accolades that we have received. A true climate of diversity, though, cannot be measured by statistics, ratings, and awards alone. Fostering inclusion through diversity is one of the surest ways we know to provide the best results for our clients. Our commitment to diversity is not about winning prizes. It is about winning cases, negotiating the best deal, and obtaining the most secure patents. It is about employing a diversity of thought, creativity, and experience to understand our clients' objectives and serve as trusted advisors. And it is about making sure that we reflect and give back to the communities in which we practice.

Summer associate program

Let's just tell it like it is: our summer program is awesome! The 10-week program is designed to give you an accurate idea of what it is like to be a Quarles & Brady lawyer (plus a lot of free lunches). Our summer program means that you will be given a healthy variety of real work assignments for real clients (see Real Work Experiences). And you will have a chance to "try on" as many practice areas as you want during your summer with us. If you're already interested in a specific practice area, we will do everything we can to make sure you work with firm lawyers on projects in that area.
