Impact Diversity Career Fair, Southeastern Minority Job Fair, Bay Area Diversity Job Fair, Lavender Law, Loyola Patent Law Job Fair are among the notable ones.
The firm encourages attorneys to handle pro bono matters. The time used for pro bono activity is treated the same as time billed to any other client for all purposes including bonuses. Pro bono work is assigned in a variety of ways, including by members of the Pro Bono Committee who serve as pro bono coordinators. Some of the areas in which Paul Hastings has performed pro bono work in the past year include, immigrant rights, veteran rights, adoptions, children's rights, homelessness prevention, non-profit counseling, and environmental sustainability. Paul Hastings was awarded 2nd rank among law firms in the 2011 American Lawyer Pro Bono Survey. In addition, the firms and its attorneys have been honored by other organizations, including Public Counsel, ACLU, LAFLA, Casa Cornelia, and the Public Law Center.
