Be human.

Nothing. The IT group is the worst-abusive people.

Toxic work environment-cutthroat, abusive, disrespectful, UNETHICAL. Administratively top heavy with many unnecessary administrators.

All of them

The firm may benefit from a 360 degree evaluation (associates evaluating partners) as there are clearly disturbing trends that allows problematic partners to stay.

The firm has potential and has some good friendly people. It is a good firm in general and is aggressive in its growth. It likes to think long term and generally is fiscally conservative (which is good given the changing legal landscape).

The politicking at the firm is somewhat infamous to those who are at the firm - with some terrible partners not treating (let alone managing) associate well. There are also big discrepancies in pay depending on group. Morale can be low among associates.

Without disclosing the names of the partners, anyone who talks to the associates off-the-record (or the partners for that matter) know that there are a few powerful partners that simply do not treat associates well or fairly. Lost talent and high turnover is apparent.

The firm is making efforts on a number of fronts to grow and change. That is a good thing. It also seems to have good geographic diversity compared to its peers.

A firm where you may get stuck in an unprestigious practice area

The firm should seek to increase its overall respect level in the community by taking clients with different legal problems. The firm can also improve its diversity and benefits package.

If you want to work in one area of the law, you should consider working here. The firm is not known for branching out, and this is acceptable to the many attorneys who want to find work in that area.

The firm does not cast a wide net over the many areas of the law. You may get stuck taking several personal injury assignments on contingency. Many attorneys will not appreciate having to take clients like this.
