This firm needs to offer more room for advancement if they want employees to leave. Otherwise they will find better work somewhere else.
I enjoyed my time spent at this law firm. The hours were great with consistency and you could always work more overtime if you wanted to. It also wasn't mandatory except for a couple times a year which I really enjoyed.
The firm doesn't have much in terms of upward mobility. The same people have worked there for years in the same position and it seems like there is rarely any room for advancement. A little more would have been nice.
They should take on more interesting cases and also expand in terms of staff members. I also feel as though there's not enough work to go around and this firm can afford to take on more cases.
Everyone is tight knit and everyone feels like family. The office never feels too serious and there's always some friendly small talk taking placing which I never found to be distracting. The pay is great as well.
The work can be very mundane and boring. I feel as though this firm is very restrictive in terms of the types of cases they take on and they play it safe too much in my opinion.
Putting a training and development program in place would really help this firm stay competitive. Associates are currently expected to take matters into their own hands, and it doesn't always work out for the best.
The compensation package offered to new associates at this firm is very competitive. I was happy with both the pay and the quality of the health insurance when I first started here.
Leadership seems somewhat disengaged from developing associates. Those who want to move up in the firm have to take initiative and seek out the big cases themselves or they'll languish in obscurity forever.
Thank you.
