I felt kind of isolated when I first joined. The firm could do a better job with making social events a big deal since it is a good way to get to know the people that are working there. But that is a minor thing and this is a great firm.
This firm is a boutique Intellectual Property Firm. It has been around since 1991 and has mastered this area of the law. The clients are the best in the world and the cases make the news. You will learn everything there is to know about this and more. It is a great place to work.
The best part can be the worst part. If you are not into IP law there is no way you need to work at this firm. That is what they do and they only thing they do. You also need a very strong Science background and math. If you do not have that then you will not succeed here.

All applicants must be eligible to sit for the Patent Bar. Undergraduate degress must be in engineering or science.
The firm has not reported whether it counts pro bono hours towards the minimum billable hours requirement. Pro bono hours are not counted the same as billable hours for the purposes of year-end bonuses.
Our summer program is based on the split-summer model. While we prefer a six-week summer commitment, we will gladly accommodate students who wish to have longer clerkships, as well as those who prefer to clerk with us during the school year. We are happy to coordinate a mutually agreeable schedule with you and encourage you to let us know if you have particular scheduling issues.
