Tax Director The candidate will be responsible for the Company’s tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. Will be involved in setting up of transfer pricing system, including development, implementation, and defense. This includes transfer pricing methodology and profit level indicator development, tax audit defense related to transfer pricing, advance pricing agreements, documentation, intercompany risk and expense allocation. Work with businesses, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out the responsibilities. Oversight of setting up the transfer price system, implementation, documentation and defense. Responsible for completion of federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support. Oversight of the tax returns for the Company’s subsidiaries. Responsible for use and property tax functions. Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings. Responsible for accounting for income taxes (SFAS No. 109) in the US and subsidiaries. Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues. Provide US tax advice on operational decisions, including M&A, across all of firm strategic business units. Prepare analysis of planning ideas for senior management highlighting the risk/opportunities. Assist Strategic Initiatives on all tax aspects. Manage tax audits and resolve tax notices. Advise business and functional leaders on tax risks /opportunities on contracts or transaction, both domestic and foreign. Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes. Departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting. Should preferably have Master’s Degree in Business Taxation and JD/or CPA degree. Must have 10+ years of related experience with 5+ years in a public accounting firm. Knowledge of transfer pricing laws and related working experience is needed. Strong presentation and communication skills (spoken and written) in English and Chinese language is required. Demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment International tax experience is must. Experience with ERP systems is essential.
