Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-11/12 Duties: The candidate will adjust budgets and logistics plans to accommodate unforeseen developments. Will manage or coordinate inputs form Logistics Element Managers in development of complete and accurate logistics support packages for each phase of the life-cycle. Review procurement documents to ensure integration of System Command policies, procedures, contract provisions and contract data requirements of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and related programs. Organize and chair/co-chair ILS Management Team meetings at various agencies/activities. Assign responsibilities to Logistics Element Managers to ensure timely delivery of a coherent logistics support package.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: For GS-11: The candidate must have 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector supporting the execution of a logistics support processes or procedures for the acquisition, procurement, or distribution of materials, equipment, or components of shipboard weapon systems/subsystems. OR Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled; OR a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. For GS-12: The candidate must have 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing or ensuring the execution of a logistics support processes or procedures for the acquisition, procurement, or distribution of materials, equipment, or components of shipboard weapon systems/subsystems.
