Region Trust Advisor Duties: Responsible for the client-focused activities in fiduciary relationships which align with High Net Worth (HNW) strategy. Partners with the HNW Client Advisors and PFAs to expand assets under management and achieve revenue growth objectives. Client-focused activities include client and investment review meetings, pre-call planning, and introduction of other Wealth Team members, etc. Responsible for enhancing growth within the fiduciary business segment through the identification and development of new business sources within the Region and with external sources such as attorneys, accountants, financial planners, etc. Prepares for, and meets with, prospects, current clients, and Centers of Influence (COIs) in order to present Wealth fiduciary capabilities and to capture opportunities for Trust and Investment Management new business. Works closely with Advisory Center teammates on various facets of ongoing administration of accounts that comprise the relationship. Works closely with other Wealth Team members (including Trust Consultants, Wealth Strategists, Financial Planners, Investment Advisors, Strategic Wealth Advisors, Client Advisors, and Credit Advisors) to meet and exceed client objectives. Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position, including determined by SunTrust to meet the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending Act.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Preferred: Working towards or possesses an advanced degree or certification (e.g. JD, MBA, CPA, CTFA or CFP. Superior foundation in trust/estate administration or related field typically obtained through 15+ years of fiduciary experience. Technical knowledge and communication skills to advise clients and prospects on fiduciary needs and opportunities. Understands and is conversant with all facets of Trust administration, document interpretation, and thoroughly familiar with the legal framework within which Trust accounts reside. Comfortable and adept at working with complex and sophisticated tax and estate planning strategies with clients and their other advisors who may be demanding at times, indecisive at other times, etc. Effective in face to face meetings and networking opportunities with High Net Worth families, individuals and COIs including other professional financial advisors including attorneys, accountants and financial planners as well as speaking to client groups, professional groups, etc. regarding a variety of technical estate planning and taxation-related topics. Adept at communicating in an easily understood manner. Bachelor degree in math, business, finance or related field.
