Senior Trust and Fiduciary Specialist (LO) Estate Settlement The candidate will proactive delivery and oversight of death settlement services related to the largest and most complex estates and deceased grantor trust accounts. Will review and implementation of complex estate planning documents, identify problems and issues, offer solutions, manage beneficiary and COI expectations, work with internal partners, help make post-mortem elections, oversee the collection of assets, review fiduciary tax returns, deliver outstanding client service via proactive communication and status updates. Interact with beneficiaries and co-fiduciaries in a professional and empathetic manner which results in the delivery of outstanding client service. Will be seen as a subject matter expert by beneficiaries, co-fiduciaries, internal partners, and COIs. Responsible for growing the credibility and enhancing the reputation of Estate Services internally and externally. Contribute to growth of the wealth management business by promoting Estate Agency and future fee business internally and externally through presentations, active participation in wealth team meetings, partnering with wealth teammates and other partners, and actively seeking opportunities to tell the Estate Services story. Sell the value of the death settlement fee to ensure proper pricing of services.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate with J.D., LL.M, CFP or CTFA is preferred. 3+ years’ experience in administering complex estates and deceased grantor trust accounts as an attorney or trust officer is required. Should have 6+ years’ trust/fiduciary experience demonstrated through work, military or education experience. Expert knowledge of complex estate planning techniques and fiduciary laws is needed. In-depth knowledge of estate, gift and fiduciary income tax is essential. Experience using SEI trust system and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is desired. Deadline: 10/22/2014.
