Wealth Management Estate Settlement Administrator Candidate will manage probate and trust estates following the death of an existing company's client, or upon the appointment of company as personal representative of a probate estate, as a successor trustee of an administrative trust, or as agent for personal representative. Will be responsible for all day-to-day activities associated with managing the probate or trust account including: Cash management, marshalling of assets, asset valuations, ascertaining and paying creditor claims, developing plans of distribution, post-mortem tax and estate planning, and all other death settlement related activities. Coordinate with business partners regarding investment management issues as well as the management of Alternative Assets including: Commercial and residential real estate, farm and ranch properties, timberland, oil and gas, Partnerships, LLCs. Will consult with outside attorneys, accountants and other Centers of Influence in managing and controlling risk as well as providing effective communication with the ultimate beneficiaries. Responsible for ensuring that the probate estate or trust account is managed in compliance with the governing document, bank policy and procedure as well as with statutory and common law requirements. Primarily administers probate and administrative trusts of routine to moderate complexity which generally does not require Federal Estate Tax returns, and can involve a variety of other tax issues and tax returns.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have BA/BS in business. Graduate degree: MBA or JD is needed. CTFA, CFP, CPA or similar industry designation is required. 7+ years of financial, trust, or legal industry experience including 3+ years in the estate specialty field demonstrated through work, military, or education experience is needed. Established knowledge of trust/estate settlement, fiduciary law, and federal regulations is needed. Deadline: 05/31/2015.
