ProfileSenior Gift Planning Officer-Foundation Duties: Work under the leadership of the Director of Gift Planning. Managing a portfolio of 100 – 150 prospects and donors. Will have an established track record of successfully cultivating, soliciting and stewarding estate gifts through relationship building and strategic moves management techniques. Will include assisting the Director of Gift Planning with the planning and implementation of a comprehensive marketing plan, coordinating events, overseeing estate plan administration where CPMCF has been named as beneficiary and reviewing the work of trustees, custodians, agents and accountants who have been tasked with the administration of charitable estate gifts or tax preparation services. May be added as needed to support the Director of Gift Planning with respect to growing and enhancing the Gift Planning Program.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience required. JD Degree –Law Degree preferred, or, equivalent education/experience. Member of California State Bar preferred upon hire. 5+ years of professional Gift Planning fundraising experience. Strong knowledge of estate planning issues, including the benefits and tax consequences associated with various gift vehicles. Significant experience with managing a portfolio of 100+ prospects. Proficiency in MS Office Basics, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Substantial experience utilizing PG Calc software program. Significant experience utilizing the Salesforce database with the ability to create and run queries. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and earn donor trust. Public speaking skills. Demonstrated excellence in prospect moves management. Substantial experience in creating effective marketing plans and coordinating events. Proven track record of securing New Planned Gift Commitments to garner philanthropic support.
