Legal Analyst - State Practice Estate Planning The candidate will help draft content and develop online legal products, tools and solutions for attorneys. Will develop, edit and/or write practical guidance on how to conduct tasks and analyze issues relevant to the Estate Planning practice area. Draft, review, and annotate relevant form documents and checklists. Manage internal editors and external authors to ensure timely delivery of content. Help deliver a compelling and all-purpose practical guidance legal product offering across targeted markets as a member of a multi-disciplined team of content developers, product planners, IT specialists, external consultants, and marketing and sales representatives. Make recommendations concerning overall content strategy and expansion. Monitor the Estate Planning practice area across various jurisdictions for trends/news. Assist in delivering customer facing messaging/marketing, sales, and customer training/customer service.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Law degree from an accredited law school. Must have 5+ years of experience practicing as an Estate Planning attorney. Should have significant substantive experience in drafting, reviewing and advising clients on various types of wills, trusts and estate plans; advising clients on tax-related estate issues; and in probate. Must be a strong practical writer with the ability to write effectively and concisely. Experience with editing, presenting CLEs, and/or drafting client alerts is a plus. Active Bar membership in good standing in California, Illinois, New York, Florida or Texas is required. Admission to multiple Bars and practice experience in multiple states is strongly preferred. Excellent writing, editing, and online legal research skills are needed. Should be comfortable working in MS Word, Excel, and in conducting online research.
