ID: 43346 Responsibilities : Individuals in this role are expected to be competent in areas of negotiation, communications, diverse horizontal team leadership, contract structures and terms, and complex transaction management. The candidate conversant regarding technology development, capable of understanding and driving financial modeling, able to use and source market research, able to collect and analyze tech competitive intelligence, be knowledgeable of supply chain dynamics, and know basics of engineering operations. Source new technology deals and partnerships to help drive comapany’s low voltage electronics road map and R&D. Access incoming request for partnerships and alliances to determine viability with Tesla road maps and strategy. Quarterback diverse teams from procurement, legal, finance, operations, engineering, and other organizations to source, negotiate, manage, close, and ensure execution of complex technology transactions, licenses, outsourcing, development, procurement, and other deals. Source and analyze competitive and market intelligence to ensure winning alliances and tech adoption by Tesla and our ecosystem, and model and manage budgetary, risk, and cost impact to Tesla product and programs. Assist engineering and procurement post deal closure to drive developed technology successfully through concept, development, production release, manufacturing, and end of life.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications : The candidate should have B.S. degree in a technology field or J.D. or MBA is a plus. 3+ years’ experience in technology alliance formation and management. Vast experience managing alliances, negotiating and managing complex transactions, and driving execution of complex transactions across organizational boundaries inside company. Familiarity with semiconductor, electronic, computer, and auto technology. Ability to source and analyze competitive, market, and other data to help Tesla drive alliance strategies. Strong negotiation skills, and deep understanding of contract terms and structures for different business purposes. Excellent management and communication skills that are effective across diverse corporate functions. Ability to generate, navigate, and understand financial modeling, cost structures, P&L statements, balance sheets, etc. Broad understanding of supply chains, ecosystems, channels, and available partners in the technology industry.
