The ideal candidate for the Technology Counsel role will have 3-5 years’ experience in new product development, technology licensing, e-commerce and electronic payments, cyber-security, and privacy to support Primerica’s technology and product innovation teams. This role involves advising the technology and product teams on regulatory compliance primarily in the insurance and financial services industry, state and federal privacy concerns, consumer protection and data security. The Technology Counsel assists with adapting existing policies, field communications, processes for industry best-practices as well as creating new policies, communications and processes. The Technology Counsel will be the main legal contact person for interacting with Field Technology, Marketing, and other departments regarding the legal requirements of new technology and innovation. This person may also be responsible for advising the review of new and recurring third party and field created advertising and marketing materials, including internal and public use content to be shared by representatives on and outside a company-hosted enterprise platform. Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: Juris Doctorate Degree and be a member of any state bar association is required Technology Degree and/or in-depth knowledge and experience required Ability to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations with existing corporate policies 3-5 years' experience (law firm and/or in-house) in the legal field of intellectual property, technology, privacy and security Experience in e-commerce, electronic payments, consumer protection and other regulatory compliance is highly preferred
