ProfileTax Director The candidate will manage company's tax accounting and tax compliance functions including oversight and responsibility for the worldwide US GAAP tax provision. Will report to the Vice President Finance (Tax and Treasury). Manage quarterly and annual worldwide US GAAP tax provision process including analysis and support for valuation allowances, income tax reserves (FIN 48) and tax contingencies (ASC 450) as well as required financial statement disclosures and tax footnote. Oversee and manage tax-related SOX 404 controls. Oversee tax compliance function for timely filing of US federal, state and foreign tax returns including estimated payments, transfer pricing and country-by-country (CbC) reporting. Review and oversee implementation, or upgrade, of tax technology to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness. Review and complete tax research, analysis and documentation. Develop broad working relationships with other departments and emphasis on Accounting, Treasury, Legal and Human Resources. Draft memos in support of tax accounting and tax compliance requirements. Stay current with US federal, state and foreign tax laws and determine impacts on company. Work closely with planning Tax Director to develop, review and implement tax planning initiatives. Manage US federal, state and foreign tax audits, as required. Complete special tax projects, as needed. Lead and direct Tax Manager, Supervisor and Senior Tax Accountants.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting. CPA, MS in Tax or J.D. degree is required. Must have 10+ years of tax accounting and tax compliance experience working in US, state and foreign income tax for an accounting firm, large corporate tax department, or a combination thereof. Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 Income Taxes and ASC 450 contingencies required. Should have significant tax technical background and experience with international taxation (both US international and foreign tax rules). Proficiency with Internet-based tax research tools (e.g., Checkpoint, BNA, Orbitax) needed. ONESOURCE Tax Provision, IFRS, Corptax Compliance and Corptax BEPS CbC experience a plus.
