ProfileTax Director The candidate will work with investors, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out responsibilities. Report to the Chief Financial Officer. Maintain and review all tax provision work papers on quarterly and annual basis and ensure compliance with all ASC 740 disclosure requirements. Oversee tax compliance process with external provider; including review of all federal and state income tax returns and investor K-1s, calculation of estimated tax payments, responding to notices from tax offices, and performing other similar tasks. Manage the sales tax function; including the filing of monthly and quarterly returns, maintenance of exemption certificates, and review of accounts payable transaction data to ensure cost efficiency. Evaluate the tax impacts of proposed transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, mergers and reorganizations. Communicate with outside investors to provide annual tax documents, notification of potential transactions with tax impacts, and to address any specific tax requests received. Responsibilities may also include performance of ad hoc requests and other special projects for management.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or other financial certification or advanced degree (JD degree or MST) required. Must have 5+ years of progressive tax experience. Experience in Big 4 public accounting preferred. Experience in partnership tax and ASC 740 required. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
