Tax Services Senior - Financial Services - Information Reporting & Withholding The candidate will interface daily with superiors, peers and subordinates and clients on large and small IRW projects. Interpreting IRS Code and Regulations, drafting guidance, data analyzation and requirements development that help clients translate and implement these rules. Will conduct a gap analysis of the current state of clients’ policies, procedures and systems and write business requirements. Will a part of a team with that prepares documentation which would include presentations and flow charts. Will be involved in technical analysis, process improvement and respond to RFP notices for clients also. Read and interpret IRS Code, regulations and instructions. Expertise in tax reporting/tax operations and corporate tax work experience. Securities processing and operations knowledge. Project management capability.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Economics; an advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Law is highly desirable. Be a licensed CPA, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certification or a certified member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation or have the ability to obtain one of these designations. Active participation in industry groups such as SIFMA, ABA, IIB. 3+ years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience. Chapter 3, Chapter 4 and Chapter 61 experience. Be able to work as part of a team. The ability to understand and implement tax rules. Strong writing skills for policy and procedure writing is a must. Ability to interface with all facets of our business.
