ProfileEnrolled Agent/CPA / Tax Resolution Attorney The candidate will work directly with clients on case files, and handle the review, submission, and negotiation of tax resolutions to the IRS. Work through an inventory of client cases in order to acclimate themselves with the tax resolution process, while also learning how to negotiate tax resolutions, resolve tax related issues, and provide case progression leadership to others on the team. Act in a manner consistent with the rules and standards of both their governing professional organization and IRS Circular 230 and to set an example for those around them. Work knowledge of IRS processes and procedures; including collections, examinations, innocent spouse, and offer in compromise, appeals, advisory, penalty abatement and ID theft. Knowledge of, and familiarity with, Part 5 of the Internal Revenue Manual required. Ability to efficiently and competently review financial statements; including analyzing income, assets, and advantages of outcomes Tax Analyst has proposed. Direct Tax Analysts on cases where Jr. Associate is acting LTP. This will include a focus on the following and providing correction when necessary: Ensure Tax Analysts are correctly following case procedures; Ensure client cases are being appropriately worked and all contracted services are being addressed, with the ultimately goal being completion as appropriate; Ensure Tax Analysts are keeping clients informed of IRS deadlines, appeal rights, and setting appropriate expectations; Ensure the work product being submitted to them meets the criteria of IRS Circular 230, as well as the ethical standards of other professional organizations he/she belong to. Licensed Attorney in good standing with the Bar of a US Jurisdiction required. Enrolled Agent in good standing and authorized to practice with the Internal Revenue Service OR Certified Public Accountant in good standing with a US Jurisdiction required. Juris Doctor, Masters in Accountancy, or Masters in Business Administration preferred as required by associated licensing. BA/BS or higher preferred for Enrolled Agent applicants. Proficiency with the MS Office Applications required. Problem solving skills, strong analytical and organizational skills required. Strong: written and oral communication skills; attention to detail, reliable and motivated required. Tax experience is a plus, but not required.
