Senior Tax Accountant The candidate will be responsible for federal, international, and state tax accounting and compliance activities, research relating to tax accounting matters, and oversight for IRS Audits. Responsible for Oracle and onesource provision and compliance technical support. Prepare federal, state and international income tax, franchise, qualified benefit returns, and annual reports. Prepare the quarterly and annual federal, international, state and local tax provisions. Prepare monthly journal entries of tax accruals and book/tax differences, and generate quarterly analysis of fixed assets for tax books. Prepare quarterly federal, international, and state tax payments. Prepare LIFO inventory calculations. Oversee IRS and state audits and respond to information requests on a timely basis. Research federal and state taxing issues. Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual federal and international tax provisions. Prepare federal tax return (ZDI and ZCORP), and facilitate the preparation of the Puerto Rican and Canadian tax returns by working with outside consultants. Review federal tax returns (all others except ZDI and ZCORP). Review US and international account reconciliations. Responsible for supporting federal and international audits. Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual state and local tax provisions. Responsible for the preparation of unitary state tax returns. Review Sep. Co. State Tax Returns. Responsible for supporting state and local audits. Responsible for all matters concerning FIN 48. Review all state accounting reconciliations. Correspond with state tax authorities from all states. Ensures that all state audits are performed correctly. Special projects: State and local planning and matrices for decision making. Lead the onesource provision and Compliance technical support. Lead Oracle (tax) Technical Support. Responsible for the review of work related to fixed assets. Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or business (certain prior work experience may be given credit). CPA preferred. Masters in Tax, MBA, JD, LLM degree is a plus. Must have 4-6 years of progressive experience in federal, state and/or international taxation. Prior experience with income tax return compliance, audit administration, research and modeling is essential.
