Tax Manager The candidate will be responsible for the review and job management functions of tax engagements, including compliance, planning, and research. Responsible for monthly billing. Ability to assume full responsibilities for directing engagements and special assignments. Responsible for the development and training of staff- and senior-level tax accountants with on-the-job experiences. Responsible for reviewing work prepared by client personnel. Work closely with clients’ internal accounting department. Recognize and solve problems. Recognize when assistance is needed and ask for help from peers and partners. Give instructions to staff- and senior-level professionals and take direction from peers and partners. Maintain excellent working relations with clients and staff members of the firm. Must have BS or BA accounting degree, CPA or JD degree. Should have 6-10 years of public accounting experience. Flow-through entity and individual tax expertise is required. Experience with construction clients is a plus. Experience in the following software programs a plus: BNA income tax planner, RIA Checkpoint, CCH, and GoTax RS is must.
