ProfileTax Manager, Senior The candidate will lead the area of tax credits and incentives for the tax team along with other state and local tax initiatives, including audits and planning. Maintain responsibility for determining the tax implications of any identified credits and incentives on the company and develop strategies for managing and identifying tax credits. Keep abreast of changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation. Help to develop and subsequently implement new projects, policies, and procedures for the departments to meet broad, but specific goals. Make decisions with lower-level managers via scheduled and ad hoc meetings. Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Work with senior management to help develop the annual budget and head large departments within a broader function or sub–function. Should have BA or BS degree in Accounting. MBA or JD degree a plus. Should have 10 years of experience with taxes. Must have experience with managing large credits and incentives projects, including federal, state, and local. Should have experience with managing and resolving tax audits, both state and local, including the District of Columbia. Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team, interacting with multiple groups, including operations, finance, and legal. Experience with public accounting a plus. Experience with specific government contracting industry a plus.
