Tax Director - Estate, Gift and Trust Duties: Will be responsible for driving the success of the firm and the Private Client Service (PCS) group through serving entrepreneurs and family groups, with related multiple entities. Will help lead the local office and Florida region in serving PCS clients and their specialized estate, gift and trust tax needs.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master in Tax or LLM, preferred, specialization in estate, gift and trust taxation required. CPA preferred. 8-12 years of experience with 6-8 years with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm (or within a firm’s specialty tax group). Significant experience with serving high net worth individuals and family groups and their related closely held entities. Strong background in domestic and international transfer taxes, and gift taxation including generation skipping tax. Compliance and planning expertise relating to fiduciary income taxes and related trust accountings. Experience with planning strategies in minimizing estate taxes, business succession, and asset protection. Compliance and planning experience with charitable giving techniques. Background and understanding of S corporations, LLCs, and partnership taxation. Ability to communicate complex planning strategies effectively to clients and other firm professionals. Experience includes collaboration with other client professionals such as attorneys and wealth management professionals. Understanding of wealth management services and how they impact high net worth individuals and family organizations.
