Tax Services Senior-Federal Compliance and Provisions The candidate role includes providing clients with tax guidance and planning related to working capital and long-term assets, as well as legislative analysis in the area of tax policy. Seniors in this practice: Take ownership for delivery of high quality tax work. Supervise the work of staff professionals. Develop self and others though seeking and offering on the job coaching and tax engagement experiences. Start to build relationships across other company service offerings and seek opportunities to work together. Build strong credibility through displaying good insight and business acumen, applying technical competence and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and engagement teams. Develop credibility and business acumen in discussions with clients. Work on key client issues in domestic federal taxation. Implement tax strategies that align with the client’s business objectives; corporate tax; pass-through entities; S corporations; and industry focus. Supervise the work of Seniors and Staff professionals. Contribute ideas/opinions to the tax engagement teams. Prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation, and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery. Should have Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field and approximately 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree in tax or law and approximately 1-2 years of related work experience. A valid US CPA or licensed attorney designation OR progress toward CPA or licensed attorney designation is needed. Must have broad exposure to federal income taxation. Experience in professional services environment preferred. should have excellent supervisory, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills. Must have proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, and data mining tools.
