Senior Tax Analyst Responsibilities: Audit Support: gather, research and analyze information requested by tax auditors, including reconciling sales versus tax returns. Customer Support: work directly with customers, gathering the necessary information in accordance to current procedures in order to establish whether taxes were correctly applied on invoices issued by the client. Researching the current legislation in the tools provided, retrieving invoices, searching for similar cases, validating exemption certificates, etc. Tax Return: Will be responsible for the preparation & review of tax returns for several different jurisdictions. Refund Claims: Preparation and review of refund claims for several different tax jurisdictions, liaising directly with the third-party providers in order to ensure the information provided is accurate and within the statute of limitations. Accounting: Support tax and other teams with journal entry preparation and posting. Tax reconciliation preparation and review activity using workflow tools. Ensure that Journals and reconciliations are SOX compliant in order to pass Accenture and client’s internal controls, as well as third party SOX compliance testing. Ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial accounting data. Will also be responsible for review journal entries and reconciliations. Ad hoc activities: Support of the Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Team Lead, Accenture Service Delivery Lead and Client.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. 4+ years of experience working in Indirect Tax. 2+ years of experience in Indirect Tax within a corporate or public accounting firm environment. 2+ years of experience working with ERP systems – SAP experience would be an advantage. 2 years of experience working with MS Excel with experience using Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Law. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Good organizational & time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Numeracy and accuracy are a must. Ability to own responsibilities and processes. Positive attitude and flexibility. Research and problem solving skills. Strong team player while also being able to demonstrate a high level of self-initiative.
