Business Tax Services Consultant Duties: Manage the day-to-day client service relationships-and as such, these professionals serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized tax services that can help improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile. Knowledgeable in Federal Tax compliance and planning, will work with clients and other members of the Tax team to understand each organization's global goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect the business. Providing tax research and analysis for clients in diverse industries, preparation of tax returns and for keeping up-to-date on current tax practices and technical issues. Take responsibility for clearing open items relating to assigned areas, and for meeting client deadlines. Communicate difficulties in a timely fashion and are able to identify and communicate issues that require the immediate attention of the Tax Senior Consultants or others on the engagement team. Participate in decision making.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field. CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process of pursuing). Advanced Degree preferred: MST, MAcc, J.D. Degree or LLM. 1+ year of experience in providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns. Knowledge of project planning, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing, excellent technology, research and writing skills.
