Vice President of Tax Responsibilities: Report to the CFO and will be part of the senior leadership team established for the company. Monitor worldwide tax & regulatory activity, capture and communicate to the product delivery teams, including worldwide governmental tax & regulatory websites and build and maintain relationships with global accounting and legal firms. Transform tax and regulatory mandates into easy to read deliverables and understand requirements for operational teams to scope, code, and deliver to customers. Support M&A activity. Maintain existing structures that drive tax benefits. Assist in the development of new ideas to generate cash tax savings. Provide ongoing monitoring, reviews and comments on applicable tax legislation and relevant regulations. Advise CFO of status of all tax compliance activities, cash taxes paid and strategic initiatives. Budget the professional fees for all tax activities of the company. Coordinate US and international tax consequences of operations. Provide guidance to foreign controllers as they prepare of their local tax provisions. Review the international components of GlobalLogic US Consolidated and various tax returns in a compliance oversight role. Assist in resolving tax notices and audits. Work with the VP Treasurer on other related treasury matters. Help leaders throughout the organization understand relevant tax issues to assist them in making the best decisions for the Company.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or Business, Master’s in Tax preferred. J.D. and/or CPA required. 12+ years of total tax and regulatory experience and at least 6-8 years managing, leading and developing a team of tax and regulatory professionals. Experience working with data from Big Four (PWC, E&Y, DT, KMPG) auditor and accounting firms and top-tier global law firms. In-depth knowledge of global regulatory and tax research & compliance as applies to nearly any industry. International finance and trade regulations experience. Experience working independently as well as within a team. Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in and developing a team-based environment. Specific knowledge of common change management doctrines and best practices.
