Manager - Transaction And Integration Services The candidate will be offering day-to-day management of projects through the delivery of tax consulting services to the client. Primary responsibilities include implementation of valuable tax consulting projects and the oversight of complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries, participation in engagements requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates, and research and analysis of a wide range of tax issues encountered during projects. Supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants and Tax Senior Consultants. Will have responsibility for the development and motivation of engagement staff and provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance. Will have proven, extensive technical skills and have developed their reputation in a given industry/service offering. Must demonstrate sound judgment and instincts with respect to evaluating complex scenarios, while supervising and developing people. Will have an opportunity to expand tax research skills via extensive tax research involving complex technical tax and operational issues (taxation of corporations and pass-throughs, tax accounting methods, tax operations, indirect taxation schemes in the United States and abroad). In addition, direct complex tax research, formulate tax-planning strategies and perform tax department assessments, working with others within company Tax to ensure delivery of client service at the highest possible level.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field. Advanced degree preferred: MST, MAcc, LL.M or J.D.; CPA. 5+ years of Core Federal Tax experience required. Big4 experience or equivalent a plus. Should have working knowledge of Corporate tax issues associated with business combinations and divestitures, including substantial experience in taxation of corporations and their shareholders, partnerships and their partners, and similar disciplines. Knowledge of FAS 109, tax accounting and basic multi-state and international tax principles is required. Must be familiar with the tax consulting process and possess the professionalism necessary to meet clients' tax needs. Should have the ability to identify and understand complex tax issues through reading financial statements, regulatory filings,transactional documentation, client correspondence and tax returns, and to evaluate the income and indirect tax implications of proposed integrations,divestitures and related business transformational transactions. Supervise assignments by tax professionals at the senior consultant and consultant levels with company Tax, having responsibility for the development and motivation of the engagement teams and provide them with leadership, counseling and project guidance. Should have strong interaction skills with management/executive presence. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
