Senior Manager Tax Duties: Managing the U.S. tax compliance function and the global tax provision process, and assist with tax planning. Managing the co-source service provider on the preparation of all domestic federal and state income tax returns, including proper application of Subpart F and other foreign related rules impacting U.S. tax returns. Managing the indirect tax compliance functions and customs reporting. Providing assistance to Director of Tax on worldwide tax planning and special projects including working with local advisors and local finance teams to implement strategies and reduce risk. Working with the tax manager assist with the global income tax provision process (FAS109/ASC740) and tax-related SEC filing disclosures including effective tax rate analysis, APB 23 disclosures, FIN 48, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and related financial reporting. Overseeing the quarterly and annual tax reporting on a worldwide basis including computation of the forecasted effective tax rate and reporting of all tax account activity. Communicating effectively on a timely basis the key risks and opportunities within the Company’s quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and processes. Maintaining effective key controls and ensuring appropriate compliance with SOX 404 requirements. Working with the tax manager develop improvements to existing tax accounting processes consistent with the application of FAS109/ASC 740 and documenting those processes.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: CPA or MBA preferred. J.D. Degree a plus. 10+ years experience with federal, state and international tax planning and compliance experience. Significant tax accounting experience in multi-national environment. In-depth knowledge of accounting pronouncements (e.g. FAS 109/ASC 740). Strong knowledge of corporate income tax laws and administration. Excellent communications skills – able to communicate with all levels of management. Team-oriented, motivated and professional.
