Director of Tax Transaction Services Responsibilities: Leads the tax aspects of conducting financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and other tax transaction related services. Responsibilities will also include business development, managing client relationships, researching complex tax transaction issues, mentoring staff and coordinating tax services from other parts of the firm. Develops, grows and serves as a firm technical resource for the U.S. income tax aspects of financial due diligence and mergers and acquisitions (M&A); leverages technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development; delivering timely and responsive services and products that meet and/or exceed client expectations. A key player within the firm private equity practice, including building relationships and delivery of services. Assists with proposals and business development, including the development of marketing materials and web-based marketing initiatives. Writes and/or co-authors due diligence and M&A articles for publication. Develops and participates in public speaking opportunities at tax conferences and events.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor's degree. Master’s degree in Taxation or J.D. with LL.M. degree in in Tax is preferred. 10 years of tax experience; preferably gained within a public accounting firm. 7+ years of specialized in Transaction Services experience, specifically including financial due diligence and mergers and acquisition tax consulting. Significant experience working with private equity. Possesses ability to analyze complex business and transaction situations. Experience supervising and training staff. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills and strong organizational techniques. Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Ability to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects Ability to attain visibility and recognition firm wide within specialization Must be willing and able to travel up to domestically and internationally.
