Director, International Tax Duties: Report to the VP of Global Treasury & Tax and will work closely with the GBT finance team and senior business leaders to influence and provide guidance to the business. Leadership and Strategy: Work closely with senior management and advisors to develop the company’s global tax strategy. Responsible for establishing and maintaining productive and value added relationships with tax advisors, consultants and legal counsel. Play a key role in the developing and leading the Company’s tax team. Contribute and assist with the Company’s transfer pricing and tax provision efforts. Work with outside tax consultants on various domestic and international tax compliance and planning projects ensuring the advisors are held accountable for delivering expected results within expected fee arrangements. Manage tax related M&A due diligence activities including tax support in structuring acquisition transactions. Manage the tax integration of acquired entities and coordinate/review all acquired entity domestic income/franchise tax filings. Oversight responsibility of the income, VAT and other tax aspects of the Company’s foreign operations. Ensure accurate US income tax reporting of all foreign operations. Preparation of responses to international portion of IRS audit inquiries. Assist with international aspects of federal and state audits. Perform tax research and support special projects as needed. Assist with preparation of all foreign tax provision packages and forge close partnerships with the company’s global leadership functions. Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Graduate Tax Degree (MST/MBA) preferred. CPA and/or J.D. Degree preferred. 10+ years' progressive experience working for a global publicly traded company. Experience and background in ASC 740 accounting for income taxes. Experience in US and global tax issues with public and private company. Experience in tax controversy, including technical defense and advocacy of company positions. Experience with European and Asian tax planning and compliance a plus. Technical expertise in global tax planning with focus on Sub C, Sub F, and general compliance. Working knowledge of international taxing jurisdictions and OECD principles. Knowledge of procedures Federal, state, and foreign taxing jurisdictions. Strong project management skills, ability to identify, organize and lead cross-functional teams to accomplish tax project objectives, and apply business insight to understand and address business objectives in transactions. Effective communication skills to working teams and senior management. Able to work independently and make decisions on complex matters.
