Tax Services Senior - National Tax - Global Compliance & Reporting - Real Estate / Private Equity Duties: Take ownership for delivery of high quality tax work. Supervise the execution of complex parts of a tax engagement. Demonstrate professional skepticism and compliance with risk management and independence policies. Develop self and others though seeking and offering on the job coaching and tax engagement experiences. Start to build relationships across other service offerings and seek opportunities to work together. Build strong credibility through displaying good insight and business acumen, applying technical competence and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and engagement teams. Develop credibility and business acumen in discussions with clients . Manage global client engagements and supervise junior staff. Supplement the capabilities of our junior staff and paraprofessionals in those areas requiring technical competencies or professional judgment beyond paraprofessional or the Tax Staff level. Pursuits - Work with the GCR Pursuit Leader to support scoping, solution design, proposal development and pricing: Manage pursuit support provided by GCR resources. Assist in accurately defining global scope. Respond to scoping questions from junior staff and paraprofessionals or local EY member firms during the proposal process. Prepare client-specific materials required to respond to client Request For Proposal requirements (e.g., custom process workflows, client-specific dummy data for technology demos). Perform technology demonstrations to prospective and current clients. Review detailed scope/fee schedules and follow-up where appropriate. Review pricing sections of proposals, including scope and fee caveats. Review proposal drafts. Transition - Work with the GCR Transition Leader to support transition activities: Develop the transition workplan. Manage transition activities. Monitor the contracting process and escalate issues appropriately. Serve as an escalation point for transition issues that cannot be resolved by junior staff and paraprofessionals or outsourcing office. Assist with implementing technology and documenting engagement processes. Prepare scope and fee reconciliation . Service Delivery - Work with the Global Engagement Leader to support service delivery activities: Review, approve and present monthly project status reports. Identify, document and resolve project issues. Respond to queries from outsourcing office that cannot be resolved at the junior staff and paraprofessional level. Work with outsourcing office and junior staff and paraprofessionals to prepare communications to non-US teams on routine and non-routine matters. Facilitate and manage service change requests. Brief new countries on key engagement protocols. Work with Financial Management Associates to track time and budget and arrange billings. Identify or generate pull-through sales opportunities and convert them into revenue. Infrastructure. Assist with internal projects.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: An undergraduate degree with an emphasis in accounting and related work experience in global or international tax compliance or equivalent experience in business or industry preferred. CPA or JD Degree (obtained or in process). Demonstrated technology proficiency and eagerness to expand technology and process skills. Excellent leadership, organizational, project management and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to identify issues, and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. The ability to effect change and adapt to change quickly. Effective interpersonal skills and strong teaming skills.
