Senior Manager, International Tax & Planning Duties: To support the company in designing/implementing tax planning strategies aimed at minimization of overall effective tax rate and cash tax liability, includes maintenance (compliance modeling) and defense of previously implemented tax planning strategies. Support of corporate development team in evaluating potential acquisition/disposition transactions and support of finance organization and the business with strategic initiatives.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Undergraduate accounting degree, Masters in Tax or JD/LLM preferred. 7-10 years of international tax/planning experience with a Big 4 Public Accounting Firm, law firm, or similar experience with a U.S. based multinational corporation. Progressive tax planning experience, related to: U.S. Subpart F and foreign tax credit planning and management, overall effective tax rate planning, cash repatriation planning, local country planning and due diligence related to potential acquisitions and review of reporting/disclosures for completed acquisitions. Must be able to manage internal resources and outside providers to maintain pipeline of value-added planning opportunities. Organizational/project management skills and attention to detail are imperative. Experience with compliance/reporting requirements related to U.S. reporting of international operations (for controlled foreign corporations), and foreign tax credits, and U.S. GAAP reporting for income taxes (ASC 740) as it relates to operations of controlled foreign corporations. Effective communication skills are a must (effective communication with VP of Global Tax, Director of International Tax and Planning, finance leadership and finance organization is a must). Desire: Partnership allocations experience. M&A experience. Provisioning experience- FAS109 & ASC 740.
