Profile

Director of Tax The candidate will partner with financial management within the Company and third party service providers to ensure policies and processes mitigate risk and proactively identify savings opportunities. Will manage the individual(s) responsible for maintaining the capital asset records for the company and for preparing the necessary tax. Direct and oversee the corporate tax strategy, policies and procedures. Develop tax forecasts to allow for shareholder and corporate tax planning and coordinates with treasury and family office to ensure tax efficient cash management. Oversees the preparation, reviews and ensures timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax returns, and related reports including all calculations related to annual, quarterly and monthly payment compliance. Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of all tax related general ledger accounts. Direct all responses to tax audits (income, sales/use and property) to ensure the Company proactively responds to requests and presents the most accurate tax data and the reason a position was taken. Advocates on behalf of the Company to ensure audit results are fair and reasonable. Anticipating internal and external tax compliance challenges or regulatory issues, researches implications to the business and provides recommendations to management. Prepares technical memorandums in support of positions as warranted. Understand tax law changes or case law impacts and proactively address impacts to the Company to ensure compliance. Develop proactive solutions that allow tax savings and credits to be maximized. Partner with external advisors to develop international tax planning initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant foreign tax laws and treaties while minimizing foreign withholding and related taxes and capitalizing on timely use of foreign tax credits (or deductions). Update and maintain transfer pricing documentation. Providing risk management support to include proactive identification and communication of issues and risks regarding tax compliance. Provide innovative solutions and identify tangible business benefits. Develops risk mitigation plan where appropriate. Create an engaging, high performance learning environment for peers and direct reports, established through coaching, guidance, and ongoing knowledge transfer for associate development, and delivery of business objectives.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Should preferably have CPA, JD or MST degree. Must have 8-12 years of relevant experience at a regional/national CPA firm or multi-national companies and 7+ years of successful experience leading and managing multiple projects. Strong Microsoft Office skills; high level of proficiency in Excel is required.
