IRS Practitioner - Tax Attorney The candidate will make investigation calls into background of customer tax history with Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities. Will counsel customers on tax and financial matters to resolves their tax debt. Analyze customers’ financial documentation against IRS and state tax collection programs. Draft and recommend resolution plans for customers based off analysis of customer financial documents and investigation calls to tax authorities. Negotiate with IRS and state taxing authorities for acceptance of tax resolution proposal. Negotiate appeals of tax debt and collection procedures with IRS and state tax authorities. Manage other staff to ensure customer files progress from investigation to resolution. Should have a Law Degree (J.D.). Must be admitted to the Bar in any U.S. State. Should preferably have 1+ years of tax resolution/controversy experience. Tax clinic experience preferred. Bilingual in Spanish/English a significant plus.
