Private Wealth Services Tax Manager Candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise. The selected individual's client base will be primarily comprised of flow-through entities, corporations, and other high-net-worth individuals. Candidates will deliver a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Supervise staff members on engagements and work closely with Partners to manage clients. Review income tax, gift and estate tax returns for individuals, trusts and estates, Limited Liability Companies, S-Corporations and Partnerships. Research tax matters, primarily in the federal estate, gift, charitable, and generation-skipping tax arenas. Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, ensure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively. Serve as a consultant and business adviser to clients - make recommendations and improve business processes. Candidates should be able to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or appropriate professional license. Candidates having Masters in Taxation, L.L.M. in Taxation, J.D. degree or C.F.P. or currently pursuing one of these degrees/certifications preferred. 5+ years of progressive tax consulting and compliance experience in Family Wealth Planning, or a related area in public accounting or consulting. Experience preparing and reviewing the following types of returns: partnership, estate, S-Corporation, trust, and/or high net worth individual returns. Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships. Computer expertise, including knowledge of tax software and technology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
