National Tax - Global Trade - Trade Automation - Tax Services Senior Manager The candidate will understand the full suite of global trade service offerings and be able to present to clients. Will develop new client relationships through both external efforts and internal channels by seeking out companies that need global trade technology assistance. Generate revenue streams from new and existing client base. Advise clients on global trade advisory needs and integrate with network of dedicated global trade professionals. Keep informed of current global customs/trade developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations. Work to develop new and innovative service offerings and ideas that can deliver value for clients. Identify different ways to more efficiently and effectively deliver existing services. Focus on people/talent development by counseling, coaching and impacting others through identification of stretch and challenging goals. Lead and manage software implementation projects, working closely with technical implementation teams and consulting teams through major phases, including Requirements, Design, Software Configuration, Integrations, Testing and Production Go-Live. Throughout a trade software implementation, be responsible for interfacing and communicating with clients. Identifies and drives high-quality project deliverables, dependencies and critical path items. Leads functional and process requirement workshops with clients to define business, process and functional/data requirements related to global trade operations (imports, exports and localization requirements). Be responsible for client feedback and understanding client needs in order to drive innovation and increase client adoption. Participates as a key member of the overall IT team, escalating technical issues as necessary, partnering to create the overall system and business strategy/direction based on business process knowledge and system expertise. Provides training to support end users and other key stakeholders on deployed functionality. Demonstrate understanding of SAP and Oracle system architectures and how various trade solutions integrate or bolt on. Demonstrate understanding of third-party partnerships/alliances and how to maximize those relationships. Identify and manage opportunities around analytics and business intelligence offerings.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, International Business or a related field. A Master's degree or J.D. degree is highly preferred. Candidate with a US Customs Brokers license will be considered. Should preferably have 10+ years of related work experience in industry, a professional services firm, a Fortune 500 company or a major importer. Experience with the US Customs and Border Protection Agency is also of interest. Must have 3-5 years of proven experience in software implementation projects involving customs/trade, ERP systems, supply chain management and logistics. Deep technical knowledge in global customs, import and export topics of importance, such as valuation, classification, country of origin, free trade agreements, is a must. Experience with trade automation, global trade management systems/software and data analytic tools is highly sought after. Foreign language capabilities highly encouraged.
