State and Local Tax Manager The candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering quality tax planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations. Perform state and local tax compliance reviews, assist clients with state and local tax controversies, and research and draft technical memoranda regarding income and franchise tax issues. Supervise the work of client service team members and participate in and contributing to attaining team goals.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Bachelor's degree. Should preferably have Master’s in Taxation or a JD degree with LLM in Tax and CPA. Must have 4+ years of related tax experience. Public accounting experience is preferred. Previous experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on state and local tax issues is needed. Experience in state and local government revenue department is desired. Experience with multi-state income, sales/use, gross receipts, property, employment or other miscellaneous state and local taxes is a plus. Experience training and supervising Staff and Seniors is needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
